Florida Mineral Rights

Florida mineral rights are wide and varied. Florida’s first producing oil well, the Sunniland No. 1, was drilled in September 1943 by the Humble Oil Co. This well site is next to the Big Cypress Preserve and is located half an hour from Naples. Most of the producing mineral rights in Florida are located north of Pensacola near the Alabama border. The other primary area in Florida with mineral rights are under production is toward the southern end of the state.
