Executive Rights to Minerals | Definition

Executive rights include the right to negotiate and execute oil & gas leases, lease bonuses, and delay rentals.

The executive right is usually referred to when a Non-Participating Royalty Interest exist. The owner of the mineral fee estate holds executive rights.
