Drilling Permits Update for July

Drilling Permits for July have seen a slight increase in the United States with a small slip in the Rocky Mountain region but large gains in the Appalachian region.

(Rigdata) The US Permit Count for last week was 931 prior week total was 819. This year’s four week average is 904 compared to year ago four week average of 1876 permits.

(Rigdata) Rocky Mountain Permit Count for last week was 111, prior week total was 137. This year’s four week average is 132 compared to year ago four week average of 359 permits.

(Rigdata) The Appalachian Region Count for last week was 252, prior week total was 152. This year’s four week average is 226 compared to year ago four week average of 350 permits.
