Lucas Energy Buys More Eagle Ford Acreage

Lucas Energy announces the acquisition of more acreage in the Eagle Ford Shale Play:

Continuing in its Eagle Ford Shale acreage acquisitions, Houston-based Lucas Energy Inc. (NYSE:LEI) has acquired a producing lease in Wilson County, Texas. Bought from a private oil and gas company, the 240-acre tract is in in the Eagle Ford Shale trend. Currently, there are two wells producing from the Austin Chalk formation. “This acquisition is a continuing part of our business plan to acquire producing, shut in, or abandoned oil properties with underlying potential in the Eagle Ford or Buda formations,” said William A. Sawyer, president and CEO of Lucas Energy.
