Welcome – We’re glad you’re visiting us. MineralWeb is the online presence of The Oil and Gas Mineral Service Company. We provide consulting, advice, and intelligence to America’s mineral owners, in addition to owning and managing oil and gas mineral and royalty interests.

America’s mineral owners negotiate daily with Oil and Gas Companies, in addition to receiving millions of dollars in royalty payments. Our services provide knowledge and balance to this relationship.

Principal OwnerKenneth E. DuBose is the past President of Cheyenne Minerals Inc., an independent oil and gas company operating in Texas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. He began his energy industry career with ARCO Oil & Gas Company, performing oil & gas reservoir studies. As natural gas deregulation approached the industry in the late 80’s, Mr. DuBose directed development of natural gas storage projects along the U.S. Gulf Coast with Tejas Power Corp. He was a founding member of U.S. Minerals, (acquired by Novistar, a unit of Torch Energy in 1999) a provider of internet based education for America’s oil & gas royalty owners.

Mr. DuBose holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University, later pursuing graduate studies in business at Baylor University. Mr. DuBose has served on various industry steering committees, non-profit boards, and is an active member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, the American Association of Professional Landmen, as well as being a Registered Investment Advisor.  He writes on topics of oil and gas investing, wealth management and personal finance, having appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Kiplinger’s, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Houston Business Journal The Legal News and Financial Advisor magazine.

Kirk EgglestonContributing Landman – Kirk Eggleston is a Contributor for EagleFordshale.com, Bakkenshale.com and MineralWise.com. He is certified in Professional Land Management from The University of Houston-Downtown, and is a former broadcast journalist, with experience covering local news and politics in the Texas and Louisiana TV markets.

Kirk has also worked with college graduates, assisting them with placement and professional development services. Through his extensive contacts in the Houston area, Kirk became attune to trends in the oil and gas industry, notably the significant economic impact of the U.S. shale plays. This in turn led to his current role, where he focuses on analyzing trends in the Bakken Shale and Eagle Ford Shale, and generating intelligence for mineral owners. In his spare time, Kirk spends time with family and friends, stays physically active and reads broadly.
