Colorado Severance Tax and Mineral Lease Revenue Distributed

Colorado severance tax and mineral lease proceeds of $54 million are being distributed to 506 counties and districts across the state. That’s a nice jump from the $37 million distributed last year.

Colorado will distribute $54,655,280 raised via the state’s severance tax on minerals and a share of leases on federal mineral rights will be distributed to 506 Colorado counties, local governments and school districts, Gov. John Hickenlooper‘s office announced Thursday.
