by Kenneth E. DuBose on July 30, 2010

EQT Corp. reports a 13 percent jump in profits for Q2 2010:

EQT Corp. reported increased profit and revenue for the April-June quarter, partly driven by higher sales of natural gas from Marcellus shale reserves. The company also projected the sale of natural gas it produces would be 30 percent higher in 2010 than last year. Net income jumped 12.8 percent to $30 million, or 20 cents a share. That compared to $26.6 million, also equal to 20 cents a share the year earlier, when there were fewer shares outstanding.
